These terms apply when you use walthensley.com or buy Before the Lights Come Back.

The product

Before the Lights Come Back is a digital book: a 134-page PDF you download after purchase. No physical book is shipped. Purchases are processed by Gumroad and are also subject to Gumroad's checkout terms.

Your license

Your purchase gives you a personal license to read the book and to print it, including the checklists, My Storm Plan, the medicine and emergency card and the Fridge Door pages, for use in your own household. Please don't resell, share or post the file publicly.

Refunds

The book comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If it isn't what you hoped, reply to your Gumroad receipt email within 30 days of purchase and ask for a refund. You'll get the full purchase price back, and you don't need to delete or return the file.

General information, not professional advice

The book and the website give general safety and household information for U.S. homes. They are not medical, electrical, legal or financial advice and do not replace instructions from your doctor, pharmacist, power company, equipment manufacturer or local emergency officials. Follow those instructions over anything in the book.

No book can promise that staying home is safe in every outage. If you can't stay warm, or you depend on medical equipment that needs power, arrange another safe place to go. Never run a generator, grill or camp stove indoors. In an emergency, call 911.

Limitation of liability

You use the information in the book at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the book or the website is limited to the amount you paid for the book.

Changes

We may update these terms when the website or the product changes. The terms shown at the time of your purchase apply to that order.
